how much should I pay for a 3rd with 4.88

What do you guys think, how much is a 3rd with 4.88s (good gears but do not know the brand)  Thxs for the input.  :thumbs:

i wouldnt pay more than 250 but try for less

$175-250 is a fair price for a used regeared diff.  Anything more than $300, and you would be better paying for new gears/bearings/bench labor.
'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.

Without a locker I wouldn't do more than 250$. With a locker Maybe 350-400$. Also are they aftermarket or stock... I hear the stock 4.88s are in a different 3rd?

I sold a diff.-Independant  for $200 with 4:88 and an Aussie Locker with all new bearings.......... Hammered her hard for about a year then went SAS.
