« on: Apr 24, 2011, 03:21:45 PM »
My transfer case shifter key broke off in my transfer case(Long story) and i haven't been able to retrieve it using a long magnet. Any suggestions?

Just dealt with this myself, Pull the cases and it will be on the bottom. When I welded mine back on I pre-heated the fork with a mapp gas torch till it was red hot, then welded the key on. the welds are significant and should never fail. I hope

I'm gonna try the magnetic drain plug first. See if it settled down there. Probably won't work, but worth the try.
