when the truck is warm, and heater on, are the hoses running into the firewall solid, or are they real soft, like nothing is in them. Need more details.

Doubt it. Either heater core plugged or your linkage controlling the valve that regulates flow of coolant in to heater core broke

Buy a Toyota thermostat. Ive went through 4 parts store ones. They last about 10000 miles or are junk from out of the box.

unplug it first dont buy new if u dont have to most likly they are cheap but on some u have to take apart most of the dash to replace so if not leaking dont replace

if 1 hose is solid other isnt, then is obvious you have a block. Its either a bunch of crap, or could just be air, have you reid burping the system since doing the tstat?

back flush that thing with waterhose.  I did it after reading several post here suggesting it.  Mine flushed right out and worked great.

If you do this it's easier to disconnect hoses from ends not on the heater core; those soft copper lines coming out of the firewall are begging to get boogerred up
