97 tacoma SAS with toyota axle?
« on: Nov 23, 2010, 09:59:56 AM »
Hey everybody im new to the forum. I have a 97 tacoma and i want to put a toyota front axle under it. Can someone point to some older threads or share what they know with me? I think i would have to change the transfer case to the older style or flip the axle. Thanks everybody.

most guys dont for a couple resons, first is the drop like you mentioned, its pass drop, so you need to flip the axle or swap to a diff t-case, the second is that most toy axles are a little narrow, but that can be fixed with spacers or widening kits.

I was going to go that route on my runner, and I would have, If I didnt get a great deal on some full widths.

I say do it and it will be bad ass......
