A little bit of wiring help???
« on: Jul 02, 2010, 05:48:09 PM »
I am in the process of a 3.4 swap. I am also switching from the auto t-case to dual gear driven cases. While looking at the wiring harness that runs onto the transmission and t-case, I noticed that there are 8 wires and 4 connectors that normally attach to the auto t-case, that won't attach to the gear driven cases.

My question is....if I remove those wires that attach to the t-case, will it throw a CEL or will it be okay. Is there anyway to bypass it if it does throw the code? Can I just pull the pins from the wiring harness connector at the ECU?

dont pull the pins at the ecu yet im pretty sure that the 8 wires are only for engagement purposed ie. engageing 4wd hi and lo range if you havent pulled much yet jus unplug them and run it if it comes up light test the plugs to se where the hot and ground is and splice together kinda tricking the ecu thats all
