3rz swap
« on: May 15, 2010, 12:16:54 PM »
I am looking at a 98 4runner with 223,000 miles.  To swap into my 85 runner.  The 98 is an auto two wheel drive.  I know I will have to change computer to run a manual tranny.  Anything else I need to worry about?  Mileage wise is that a lot for that motor?

That is what I was thinking just wanted to make sure.  If i had to freshen it up it would be no big deal.

I will be following this one close. My doonor is the same thing.

I need the link to a '98 Runner fsm for the wiring diagram.

I plan on doing mine this winter. Nov. to Jan.
