Topic: Need used ecm/ecu for 2000 tacoma 4x4 trd v6 extracab

Have the check engine light. My mechanic told me it's a faulty ecu/ecm (are they the same). Want to get a used one since the dealer wants anywhere from $900-1700!!

Truck is a 2000 tacoma extra cab trd offroad 5 speed with 3.4 5vz-fe engine.

Is there a good website to find a used one? Many thanks!

thanks guys, found one on carpart.com. was reprogrammed and installed by the dealer, paid $115 for that. some places quoted me as high as $500 for a basic reprogram (5 mins) and install (15 mins tops). only paid $150 for the used ecu so all is well. fingers crossed I don't get a check engine light again...
