Do a bit or research and you will find that Calif is targeted for lots of land lockup including the Mojave desert and many areas of the Sierras.
Utah will lose the use of Moab for offroading. This is serious chit, once gone it will never be recovered.

It isn't really a secret.    Ironically the land that they want to seize is roughly the same location of the huge shale oil deposits that were discovered a few years ago.
