hydro assist bracket

ive been working on a hydro assist and was woundering if anybody makes a bracket that bolts the cylinder to the steering arm instad of welding a bracket to the arm. i was thinking of makeing one. what do you think? you think this might work?

Thats is how i did mine. I usen a 1.25 tube clamp and welded tabs to it.
The pic is about half way down on page 16 of my build.

yea that would work.   i always thought that heat from welding on that part was dumb.   seeing how that is a sterring component.

Here is the one I made years ago. I should have used thinner tube.

the tie rod getting weak from welding on it.     i think it's a awsome idea. :thumbs:

heres my bracket took about 40 mins to make. it well do till i get a pipe clamp  and weld  my taps on it like your joey0712.

what did you guys use on the fitting treads for the hydraulics? teflon tape or something better.

Ya dont use anything on flair fittings. Use teflon on all pipe threads.

so it should be ok with nothing on it . never worked with hydraulics before.

this all i got done so fare ,weather is bad and truck want fit in garage. got the box drilled and taps fittings put in,about it ,slow go if i dont get good weather

i wish i had the confidence to tap my box. maybe i'll have to get a couple spares to try so i don't f mine up. anyone know of a good place to get them tapped in nor cal? or have any for sale?
