GM Master Cylinder?
« on: Mar 05, 2010, 06:10:13 PM »
Just saw a Toyota to GM master cylinder adapter advertised on sky's site. I'm thinking for putting Dana 44's on my '85 4-runner. i figured i would need a more powerful m.c. for this swap but I'm curious if the GM m.c. has the brake line ports on the same side, or am i going to have to redo my line? I'm real new to wheelin. Any knowledge i could soak up would be appreciated. thanks.

how do you like that mc? and what type of axles are you running? just trying to figure out how much hydraulic power I'm gonna need.

I would think a 1" Yota MC would be enough. If not they make a 1 1/16" bore too.
If you see it, its for sale.

I used a MC from a 1978 Chevy 1 ton, only like $20.00 or so from Auto Zone. Made my own adapter plate. Got the fitting from a local speed shop.

Here is a link for  my build, see post # 74 :
