imin the process of putting one in me 88 sas 4runner. it doesnt bolt up at all to my r151. wat trannyand motor do you have. i found one place that sells the bellhousing for 500 bucks then have to buy the extended folk also. its pretty pricy but a cool swap. i welded in my own adapter to the 1uzfe bellhousing to bolt it up to my tranny. had a machine shop cut down the fly wheel so the starter can reach it, you need to make new motor mounts.then figure out haw to wire it up.thats allihave left to do. so im sure my bellhousing will eventuallybreak but every theing is where it needs to beso when it does break iwill just buy the bellhousing for 500 bucks. i just tried to do it cheap as possible for now. i willfind the site with the bellhousing and post it to you

There are companies that make bellhousings/sell them, but they are all from australia and shipping would kill. They are extremely reliable, simple wiring, only takes bout 5 wires to run I've heard. Suprarunner off pirate4x4 can get you everything you need besides the wiring aspect, motor mounts, custom welded bellhousing, clutch and flywheel... Im planning one for my truck.

Its the same block pretty much as the 4.7 tundra(2UZ), except the 4.7 wont except an input shaft from a manual trans.

There are adapters for the W56 and R151 transmissions.   The 1uzFE is mated to the A340E transmission witch is basically the same as the Toyota A340F only with the 4wd output.   there are a few subtle differences but they can be made to work.   You can also use the A340e that came with it so the electronics all match up and get Inchworm's Pre-runer adapter to mate it to a standard right side drop Toyota gear driven transfer case.  Thats what I did.   There is plenty of info on this swap at www.lextreme.com

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
