well I got a check light on the way to work today, was wondering how to read the codes without a reader? like on the older trucks that you can pin the terminal on the inner fender, is it possible to do the same with these?

I know, I know I'm still searching as we speak, thought you might be faster than me

Isn't there a certain way to turn the ignition to get the light to blink, giving you a code?

Just go to Auto Zone they will check it for you.

You can jump T1 to E1 on the diagnostic port under the hood. That should get your check engine light blinking some codes.
