22r to 22re swap help

Wanting to know what  is involved in changing out to a 22re I have all of the injection parts, harness and computer. what else do i need and is it true that i need the head off of the re. Please help

1998 4runner with 4.3 liter Chevy vortex/ turbo 400/ 205 tcase/ hi pinion 44 up front with 4.88 arbs front and rear/ rear is a turbo with 4.88s/ 63" Chevy's in rear with 5 in Chevy's in front/

You need a 84+ head to have the holes drilled and tapped already, seeing as yours is a 85 your safe.  I have been doing tech support for a buddy who is doing that swap as we speak.  But the catch is he is swapping the whole wiring harness out of his 85 turbo truck into his 83.  Once everything is done Id be more than happy to give ya all the perticulars.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

so as long as i have the head off of a 85 the holes are already there. i have a complete 22re but the engine is junk.
do i need the tank out of the truck or can i use the one that i have.

do a serch on here. i'VE SEEN PPL TALKING ABOUT A EXTURNAL PUMP FROM SOME FORD THAT CAN BE USED WITH YOUR STOCK TANK.

you don't need to change tanks you just need to get a external fuel pump that has 33-38 psi
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much
