dual cases & an auto ?
« on: Nov 25, 2004, 06:38:47 PM »
I'm building an 86 EFI with an auto, (don't ask, the wife will not even try to learn to drive a 5-spd) I know that mating a gear driven T-case behind my auto isn't gonna happen. But I was reading over at 4xwire where someone used the A340F auto and an adapter to run the dual cases. They were also running a v-6 engine. Is there any auto (Taco tranny) that can be mated to the 22re engine so I can run dual cases? And what would a ballpark figure be to run this setup?

You can follow the 4x4Wire article and swap your bellhousing onto the A340F to mate it up to your 22RE.

Chris should be able to work up an estimate. You might have to find the A340F yourself.
