Mating Jeep 4.0 to R150f/R151f and t-case
« on: Nov 23, 2004, 05:59:51 PM »
I have an 89' Cherokee with a 4.0 and a BA-10(junk). I want a Toy Crawl box and t-case to keep weight down. I know I can use an AX-15 bell to bolt up a R150f but I have to swap front input and retainer from jeep to toy tranny.

But the gear type t-case won't bolt directly to a R150 right? And I can't just swap out the input in a R151f because of gear ratio's.

Can you swap output shaft and tailhousing from a r151 to a r150 so that the gear t-case will bolt up?

Otherwise what do I need to go from 4.0>5spd(toy or jeep)>crawl box>toy RHD t-case(chain or gear)

Thanks, Bryan
Just cause it's your junk, don't mean it's all junk...

i believe you can swap the input shaft from a '96-up R150F into an R151F.  that'd give you the longer input shaft you need, a lower 1st gear and 23 spline output that'll mate right to a toyota gear driven case(as long as it's 23 spline as well, you can swap that input shaft in)

i think you just need the AX15-4.0 bellhousing from a jeep and you can probably use AX15 clutch parts
