Hello from the Midwwest
« on: Mar 31, 2004, 06:55:22 AM »
Just checking in. I have an 80 series that I have been wheeling for about 4 years. Recently bought a stock '83 pickup that I want to build up to run trails that are not wagon-friendly. I have Marlin 4.7 gears and hysteer along with a nearly new set of 33" BFG MTs setting in the garage. Still need to get wheels and lift springs. Hoping to have enough money left over for a least a rear locker.

Bob

Update on progress on my rig. Installed 4" Alcans, power steering, vented rotors, IFS calipers, s/s brake lines, Aussie lockers f/r and 33" BFGs. Still need to install the 4.7 gears, steering stabilizer and bump stops. Plus bumper and sliders and..... and....

Never enough money just try to save in advance before you do stuff an wait until u get more money so u can install it correctly. I always try to buy parts or big parts first before i take it off my truck then save more money to put it in. Good luck with your toy have fun and dont let money get in the way of your toy or dont worry about money its just money anyways who started money anyhow! 8)

Here's a couple of pics of the rotors. They're not too good, tho. If you need something better let me know and I'll pull a wheel and shoot some more. Basically, I used LC rotors (fj62, I think) and IFS calipers from an 87 4Runner
