if anyone has any info on how an axle is made from raw material to finsh please email me at complexevolution@hotmail.com   bnrandon told me to call dynatrac but anyu ifo greatly needed. have a paper due tomarrow

They find them in the ocean. My birfields were dug up in the artic drift current below africa.

Heard that the strongest ones come from there :thumbs:

The December issue of 4wd & Sport Utility has an article on Foote Axle and Forge which is the producer of Superior Axle. Talks about the whole process of making an axle including material types used.

Check out the September issue of Petersens's  There is an article titled "We Tour India"  It discribes the forging process the the shafts go though.  Page 91   Or you can go to there website and check it out. (www.4wheeloffroad.com)
