How many Quarts of ATF should I put in A340H
« on: Nov 05, 2004, 11:29:54 PM »
I had the tranny completely out, drained all ATF, blew out the oil lines and installed a new torque converter. I poured 1 quart of ATF into the torque converter when I installed it.

Any advice on how many quarts to put in before I start it up and what procedures to follow would be very helpful

thanks

Well, since nobody has responded I'll take a stab at it.  Normally to flush the auto tranny it takes about 12-15 quarts.

Well, if the ideal of excluding the lesser equipped (stock or otherwise) is accepted... there is no fundamental difference between that and a Sierra CLub ideal of exclusion. If we cannot embrace the 4wheel users as a whole. We are not fighting for access. I cannot be that shortsighted
