Toyota Brake Booster?
« on: Jul 09, 2009, 01:54:58 PM »
Ive got a '80 toyota pickup and the brake booster is leaking, I also have the entire booster and master cylinder from a '95 4runner on my bench, could I use the '95 booster/MC in my truck without modifications?

Not 100% positive but  I believe that the 95 booster will hit the clutch cylinder. If it was a 84 and above it would be a direct bolt in.  My 86 is running a 93 4x4 booster/ master cylinder combo with no mods.
Nothing puts a smlie on my face like the green glow of 4x4 on the dash !

Won't work.  Bolt patterns are the same, but the larger diameter booster will hit your master slave cylinder.

For 1st gens it appears the only bolt on is a 85-86 turbo dual diafram.
