chain driven T-case

Guys..I have a question.
I have a 3KZE with a 5-speed and chain driven Tcase from a 93 4-runner donor mounted on my CJ5.
I was looking at improving the crawl ratio and liked the 4.7 upgrade, but I belive is only for gear driven tcases.
Do I have any option?

Now I am assuming you have a 3VZ-E out of the 93 4runner, but if you have something different there are other options.

If you have the length between your rear axle and the rear output of the transfer case.

This would be a dual transfer case setup with 2.28 gears in the crawl box and 2.56 gears in your chain drive case. 2.28x2.56=5.83

You will need a top shift transfer case out of a 4 cyl, a set of 4.7 gears and a 23 spline input shaft to connect to your R150f 5speed.

This would replace your chain drive case with a 4cyl 4.7 gear case only. Knowing that your CJ5 has a short wheelbase this may be your only option.

I imagine global excursion is right, withthe short wheelbase of the CJ, you might just have to go with the gear drive 4.7 case.  If you've got the length, I'd definitely go with the dual case option using the chain drive in the rear.  Thats what I'm running, and I love it. 

Don't forget, with either one, you have to buy an adapter plate to go from the v6 transmission to the gear drive t-case.

Of course you could always get a R151F and TC, the bell housings are interchangeable with the R150F from the 3.0 (but not the Tacoma R150F, it has a longer input shaft). Then you only have to buy the 4.7 gear set, and it comes with the 23 spline input gear for the TC.
I picked up a R151F and TC for $400 with 40k on it off of CL. I plan on putting it in a 2wd Tacoma Xtra-cab with the 3.4 and doing a SAS.
