2009 Lone Star Land Cruiser Round Up - NOW WITH VIDEO!
« on: Mar 23, 2009, 02:05:58 PM »
Hey guys!!

Marlin had a great last week by visiting his aunt, uncle, and cousins in Florida and by stopping off in Texas on his way home for the 2009 Lone Star Land Cruiser Round Up!

Marlin has some catching up to do, so it might be about a week before he can get in a full trip report, but until then, check out the event pictures from our online photo gallery below! The gallery is also accessible through our Online Picture and Video Gallery link.

I am going to get Marlin to add captions to the pictures in the gallery from his Trip, but again, it might take a week or so but for the time being please enjoy the :snapshot: Just click on the title of the Lone Star Round Up trip below:

It turns out that Big Mike and Misato were at Star Bucks last night until 10:00 PM.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Could not of made it home witout you guys and the bad ass Dodge.

Next time I hear of 40+ mile winds blowing across the desert, I will give you a call so we can go on a road trip.
Remember to check that air filter.

Great Pics! I had a great time at the Roundup and it was great to meet you again Marlin. I was honored to have you wheel my rig and to have the opportunity to learn from the master! Sorry we held you up sooo long out on the trail - it's hard to get them piggy's through some of that terrain! Hope we get the chance to wheel together again real soon!

Thanx Marlin for letting me give you the tour of "The Toyolet".You've probably have seen a billion 350 swaps in your time but you took the time out to look at mine .I hope to do the duel t-case swap as soon as money permits.I feel blessed to have met/hung out with another toyota fanatic.See you on the trail someday. Later...Manny.

Wow!

I didn't realize I was hosting a legend....

When we had to return to the house (I had forgotten my event cash), Marlin and Rob had my FJ60 up on a floor jack and the wheel off in the time it took me to run in and out again.  They freed up the rusty tie rod with some Canadian Jigaloo and a hammer.  Next thing ya know, ol' Sparrow had tight steering and the wheels moved when you turned the wheel.  Very cool.

Thanks Marlin!

Marlin was very warmly welcomed in Texas and treated like a king... Yet being Marlin he would stop and help ANYONE who needed it anyways...

Thanks to Marlin for being that special person that we all love and admire... Glad you had a good time!  :usa:
