Hi everyone,
I need help with my new project. I currently own a 79 4x4 short bed Toyota pick up with 37,000 original miles, the truck is 100% oem stock, even one of the tires is original. The issue is that the truck is rotted way beyond repair, both the frame and body.
So my quest is to find a 79-83 ( a 79 or 80 would be best, but I don't want to limit myself) short bed 4x4 pick up that is rust free. I want to swap over as much as possible from my 79, including the engine, trans, seat, dash....and whatever else I can. I will also swap over the round headlights, and grill. If the motor is shot or the trans, I don't care, I just want a solid stock rust free frame and body. I promise when this project is done, the truck will NEVER see a winter again! I had contact over the 83 that was on the board, but that didn't work, so the quest is still on! I live in NJ, however shipping from CA or the west coast is fine. Please help me get the ball rolling on this project.
