Home made jeep swing out tire carrier.
« on: Feb 26, 2009, 01:19:27 PM »
So my friend with a jeep wanted a swing out tire carrier and a cargo rack. Something that can be taken down when the rack isn't needed.

He had a rear bumper to use and I got "scrap tubing" from work. We used 2x2 .250 wall. Then went to the steel yard and got a piece for the tire mount. Here is the starting point.

The welder I used is my little 110 volt lincoln. I used .030 wire and CO2 gas.

So after some basic cutting and welding this is the basic final carrier. We ran out of time do to running around like crazy for :pokinit:.

Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?
