1990 4x4 22RE Engine, White smoke when cold
« on: Jan 15, 2009, 08:29:28 AM »
I have a 1990 Toy 4x4 all stock 22re 5spd, I only drive it 1 or 2 times per week, whenever I start it cold it smokes white smoke out the exhaust then clears up completly after a couple of minutes and theres always some water that drips out. My old 1984 Toy was the same way, this Toy did it with the old engine, but this is a freash engine? Is this normal for these things??

All that is is your hot exhaust gases steam drying your cold condensation filled exhause pipe.  Nothing to worry about.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
