Make sure all the grounds in the engine compartment are clean and tight. If that does not fix it it  may be the alternator is on its way out.

Nope.  Something is not charging correctly or there is a short.  What does your voltmeter say when it's running?(it should be about 2/3-3/4 the way to the top line)   If you have a dead short in your lights or similar, it can suck a good amount of amps off of your entire system.

In my truck, for instance, when I start it, I have to turn the radio and lights off first or else the thing sucks too much juice and the starter relay won't trip more than half of the time. ;)

is your truck an automatic or manual?

It says its auto in his Sig. When i did a five speed swap my at oil light was on until i decided that the a/t computer had noting to do with the way the engine ran so i unplugged it and it went out. I know that doesn't apply to you but this does... All three of those light used to flicker on my truck for a while, and then they got worse and came on when i was idling. what happened was my alternator had come a little loose and the belt was not tight, sometime slipped i guess. when i tightened it back up all the lights went out and all was good. my guess is it is something to do with the alt. Although you could just have a bad Batt, need to top up your brake fluid and your tranny runs hot bahaha
