Topic: FJ40 fender cuting suggestions

My freind wants to cut his rear fenders on his 72 FJ40 and we're trying to see if anyone has some pics of some rear cut jobs we can check out before we take the blade to it. the goal is to fit 35's with no lift.

I dont have any pics but I have a buddy that bought (spectre) flares and moved them up a couple inches higher than normal.  And another buddy that cut the sides even with the fenderwell to the rear then angled it sown at a 45 degree angle torwards the middle in the rear.

Thats kinda what we want to do, cut them flat and then angle them 45 in the rear we just want to take a look at what it will look like before we cut.

Do it!  It looks really good.  He'll have to cut the bumper if its stock and replace the tailights as well otherwise it'll look pretty dumb with them sticking out.  But otherwise its cool.

What did he do about inner fenders? build some or just leave it see thru?

He cut them up to the inners not into them and in the rear its just flat if I remember correctly.  So it was no biggy
