V6 calipers have all four pistons the same size (large) and the 4 cyl calipers have 2 large and 2 smaller pistons and lack the size of fins on the casting as the V6 calipers have. I too have had both types in my hand at one time and the difference is obvious. It might be ok to sell the V6 models to the 4 cyl guys but I wouldn't want to sell the 4 cyl ones to the V6 guys. You might wanna make sure they weren't boxed wrong or which version is being sold before someone gets the wrong stuff.

No they are the same u guys are wrong and napa is the Parts leader of the world they wouldnt just screw off something like that so you think what you want because i know the truth
Couldn't tell ya about napa calipers as I never dumped money on new stuff when I worked there.. But my 94 4 cylinder truck had a factory V6 braking system from master to calipers.
I got my calipers off a 94 4 popper and they had the vent ribs on them, but that just further stirs the pot...
I believe he may just be right on this, but NAPA (the worldwide parts leader and ripoff) is not the only company that shows the same part number for either the 2.4 or 3.0 Autozone shows the same part number for them. I used to deal with NAPA but it always seems that they never have anything in their standard product line. They always seem to only have the Gold products which cost twice as much and kills my opportunity to make a profit off anything.
What about the piston sizes? Were they the same or two different sizes in each caliper?
Probably started with 4cyl and 6cyl calipers in 89.Then toyota consolidated the calipers to the 6cyl model in a later year (94?).Then the aftermarket figured out that what's good for toyota is good for them and went a step farther by consolidated all the earlier years to the 6cyl caliper
So in reality there are two different calipers and we need to make sure the proper one is given even though they will still work, is that what I'm getting out of this?
