i just got a set of tube doors and i was wondering if the quick release hindges are a good idea or is it just a waste of money.

I got the quick release hinges..... and am now looking for some stock hinges. I only change the doors 2x a year and the quick release while cool have been difficult for an idiot like me. Good product but unless you are removing doors a lot, not worth it in my opinion.

Crawler #719, rear with 4.70 # 677,
Twin stick
Skys manufacturing T-case crossmember

6 point cage modified with harness bar, dash bar and PRP seats mounted to cage
2 feet chopped off the back

It seems it is never done........

in works for new body and exo, motor and trans swap...

catch 22, the hinges are worn, need new bushings.......... so if you are still interested and have some stockers in good shape I could be convinced!

As long as the Brass bushings in the hinges are in good shape, the people that I know all like theres,,, I am just getting ready to make a set,,, Ill let you know how they turn out!    :thumbs:

The bushings get shot rather easily, at least mine did!

If you use the same size pin as stock they should last quite a long time... The stock hinges last hundreds of thousands of miles,  I'm hoping   :crossed: to get 15-30 thousand out of it and I'll make a new set if I need to... The pin is 8mm BTW or 5/16 I believe is very close as well. Just a little tech!  :thumbs:

i tried the 5/16" pin, and it sucked..... i could never get the door aligned
