Topic: white LED's in dash but its still green..

i recently put some white v-led's in my gauge cluster but the speedo area still lights up a tint of green. is their any way to make it more white??

what year truck do you have? i put blue leds in my dash, and it lights up blue..... my truck is an 84 sr5


if its a later generation, it might have the tint film in the cluster, you have to take apart the cluster and remove the tint film, its a slow and tedious job

sorry, its an '85 non sr5 gauge cluster

did you remove the little green covers on the lights?

i replaced them with led's so their is no green condom anymore

The dash is black with colored "windows" for the light to shine through (the ticks and lines and such)

That's unfortunately as white as it'll get unless you go to much brighter LEDs.
