Gas tank skid/tank ideas?

am looking for a better gas tank skid plate? does any company make one?
or should i just make my own?
if so pics would be nice to see the difference
also i've been thinking getting rid of the gas tank and installing a gas holdertank in the bed? or a fuel cell in the bed

i have never heard of an after market skid plate for the gas tank... im not saying there not out there, nut i think you would be better of just buying a fuel cell and putting it in your bed. the gas tank gets in the way anyway! :beerchug:

I have seen people remove their bed and place the stock tank sideways right behind the cab. I guess that works pretty well, I have not seen a pic of one like that in a few months though. They usually build a flatbed over it.

no not yet. i have a gas tank thats all rusted out and it clugs my injectors up alot. some instead of buying i new tank im going to buy a cell. i just dont know how its going to be monting up my fuel pump. i have a elictric one cause i have a 22re

get rid of your stock pump and put one inline somewere.. from what i have been told the stock pump changes flow depending on the conditions,? but i hooked my stock toy pump straight up to the battery for quite a while and i didn't notice any i'll effects from the pump running full all the time...

 oh ok. i didnt know you could do that. i want to find a fuel ceel that fits under my tool box in the bed! that would be sicc!

ya it sounds like a good idea, i was thinking of either a fuel cell or a metal gas tank that you buy at Big R / Home Depot. The ones that are like 15- whatever you want gallons.
