shocks?
« on: Apr 04, 2008, 04:54:58 PM »
I was wondering if i can put 14'' travel shocks on stock height (85x-cab) front/rear.
I also wanted to go with the 14'' mounts for the shocks front/rear the Long Travel Shock Hoops (FROnt) and make my own rear shock mount for the rear 14'' or buy one from offroadsolutions or somewhere else.
What do you all think?
am thinking off skyjacker 14" shocks or some other brand.

I just put 14" travel shocks on my 4runr, but I have 3" BL and 4" susp lift. and it was a tight fit with that.
I used Ford F250 shock towers for the front, but didn't cut the inner fenders.
I guess you would have to cut the inners if you don't have to Body lift.

I don't know about the back, as I haven't done my rear shocks yet

why would you do that if its stock? Your stock springs won't travel any where near that much, so the extra length wouldn't be needed. save your money intell you get new springs.
