Topic: Need Efi Swap

I am trying to smog my truck, and put an 83 engine into my 81, an am having a bunch of probs, the motor runs good, but the two harnesses arent compatible. Motor runs fine at high rpms, but at low, it starves for fuel. Im tired of dealin with it. Im lookin for a decent efi engine, with ecu, and harness, for 500 bucks. I know thats a low asking price, but its all i got. Ill throw in my old motor too. Its fine runs good, leaks from oil pan, and o ring in oil pump, 165 PSI in all 4 cylinders. I am just sick of this carb crap, Im gunna have to swap harnesses neways to get it to smog, so I figure y not just throw in a efi engine while im at it. Thanks. Im in nor cal by the way.

might want to look into a celica 22re as they had them early on using the older engine blocks

i have a motor thats  in an 88 only 120,000 on it  i can sell for your asking price but you have to pull it, i have a cherry picker you can use here to get the job done.. pm your number if you want it  in in Fresno
