heres the quick run down, my tail gate on my runner is trashed. wont latch all the way so one side of the gate is unlocked and sticks out about 1/4". i was wondering if the door latches are the same as the one in the tail gates?

the door latches look like they could work, same bolt pattern but idk if they are the same. i didnt want to rip my door apart to find out they dont work

i asked a buddy of mine and he said he doesn't think so, but wasn't sure. so i figured id ask the ppl who eat and sleep toyota...
