I have a Chevy T5z 5 speed transmission for sale that has 0 miles after rebuild. Trans is already set up with a Jeep Midcase and Advanced Adapter to mate to the Toyota 21 spline Transfer case. This is the most sought after model that has the highest torque rating available @ 330 ft lbs. Direct bolt in behind a Chevy V8 with no driveline or transfercase modifications. $2500 into this trans, plans changed. My loss your gain.
By far the best choice of conversion trans. WAY stronger than a Toy 5 speed, Way More Efficient than an auto, Way Better Gas Milage than an auto!
The kit from Advanced Adapters was discontinued a few years ago because the Jeep midcase was getting hard to find. This kit has a very tall 5th gear (.59) to offset the low gearing. I have also ran the toyota 5 speed behind a v8 and like this much better for many reasons especially the taller 5th. Toyota's 5th is only .80 so with a v8 you might as well not even have it.
