22RE torque Specs

does anyone Know off of the top of there head what the torque specs are for the head, main caps and rod bolt? i am rebuilding my engine. :flamer:

 book i have says 53 t0 63 for the head. i went to 65ft lbs for the head. book 69 to 83 for the main cap..i think i went 80.book rod bolt 40 to 47ft lb. i think i went 45. btw rember the head has a torque pattern that you should follow. i always grab the tech manual just for the peace of mind.

Head - 58
Rods - 18
Mains - 45

2x on getting a tech manual before starting a rebuild. i found a 81 Toyota shop manual for $2 at the recycle shop. only missing a few page's. you can also look up lcengineering on-line. tech articles, then miscellaneous tech then go to torque specs 22r/22re.

Strangely, I found a super clean haynes at a second hand store for $4.

the older books in good condition are a real score. more details on the older trucks and better pictures. the new books often just recopy the same pictures to death and shrink them. my 79-83 Haynes i bought new in 85. it's pretty worn by now but for some things it's better than the Toyota service manual.
