not to offend you, but have someone with experience look at it before you tear the whole thing  down..I would hate to see you go to all that work for no reason..  you also said the noise got better with adjusting the valves..

no offense taken...I was gonna have a buddy of mine (mechanic) look into it because I definitly don't know enough about it to do that job.  I finally got paid and he is one of the guys around here that will do the work for a reasonable price (but still expensive since I'm a college boy). 

Noise did get better by adjusting the valves but not completely gone.  Still runs well (except for the AFM being crapped out...another thing on the to-do list).

that is one nice truck..saw it in the for sale section on pirate..  how many miles on your LC motor??

call lc engineering and do what i did and prettyy much call them everyday until they send you a new motor

only part about that is the guy before me put the motor in.  I would definitly do that but I am really not sure if it would work...unless...uh...um...any ideas?

yeah...but the fuel injection is already set up for the motor (in theory LC did it).
