85 4Runner, 4.30, w56, 22RE, 31's
Driving on the highway about 65 and heard a slight ticking sound in 5th gear. Over about a minute it increased in volume to a very distinct level above my leaking exhaust manifold, window seals and roof rack wind noise. It is relatively slow, maybe around 120 RPM. The trans has about 80,000 miles since rebuild (previous owner). The noise doesn't occur in any other gear or in 5th with the clutch disengaged. Any thoughts?
