tauras fan swap
« on: Apr 28, 2004, 07:20:25 PM »
I happened to have a tauras fan and was wondering if it would be worth putting in my truck.  If so how do you wire it into a temp switch?

napa pn# fs421 is a good temp switch that turns on a 185 and turns off at 170.  Just install the switch between the ground for the fan and the fan motor.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I used a 30 amp relay with no problems.

Also note a quality clutch fan will use less enigne power than an electric one. The truck I put my electric fan on used a direct fan, not a clutch one.

I would explain it, but I dont have the energy

Of course use a relay on the power side of the fan.  I just forgot to add that last bit.
