I have been collecting parts for about a year now.  At first it wasn't going to be a full on buggy, I was going to use the s-10 cab and tube the back with some airshocks. But then I got this sweet deal on the 18" coilovers and then I was going to use just the s 10 frame.  Then I was just going to use the front half of the frame so I didn't have to build new motormounts.  I cut it all down to start one day and realized that that was the most stupid idea I had ever had. So..... I decided to go full buggy.
Right now I am waiting on the hiem joints for the front links.  QA1 is apprently back ordered untill july 9th. So untill I can get those to check engine clearances, I am kinda stuck. So I have been working on the front 60, installing the chromoly 35 spline stubs, drive flanges, and figuring what kind of locker I want.  As well as building a truss for it that can house the upper link mounts and also serve as a mounting point for the hydro steering.

wow, i love when stupid ideas turn into something realy cool...for the front locker, since itll be a trailer queen you instead of buying a locker you could just weld the spider gears so its spooled(if thats how you spell it). when your around camp you could just unlock the hubs to free wheel...just an idea. a few of my friends welded the rear and it works really good

My toyota has spools front and rear and I really love them. Cheap, simple and strong.  And at first I was going to do the same thing with the buggy.  But in talking with john, the owner of Mt logan off road and current king of BFE, if I ever want to compete with it spools are a bad idea for the tight corses and cones. And at the time I had the money for a detroit so that is what I got. And now since I already have the rear, I am just going to bite the bullett and get another one for the front 60.

I am 6'2".  The seats should sit up about 6" higher than they are in those pictures.  They are just set in there so I could snap some pics.  Anyway, I did build in plenty of head room.  I think.  I dont have the doubler setup yet, so I wasn't sure of the exact space that they would need. But I should have about 6" above my head when the seats are installed.  Plenty for me.

110". The chassis is very short 2 person design. But the wheel base is streatched out a bit because that is my preference. And to be more like the toyota...
