Lurching
« on: Jan 02, 2007, 05:06:19 AM »
Is it normal for my hilux to lurch in 4low? I have 4.7 low range gearing, Detroit rear, quicklock front. 5.29 r/p. It does this on rocky trails. :snare:

Ya....I think I know the kind of lurching you are talking about. My old 84 longbed did it on the trails....more noticeable on the hills. I don't think it would happen with an auto. tranny.

yep, mine use to do it a lot.  but now that i t-case doesn't move at all it doesn't do it anymore.  it would probably do it less if you put a new t-case rubber mount in there.
