doors?

Isn't there a way to make toyota doors quickly removable? like you cut part of the hinge off to remove the doors without unbolting the hinges....any links or info on this?  Pics would help too.

YES!

Leave the bottom hinge pin about 1/4" longer than the top.  (you have to make the top pretty short so that the door clears the fender.)  This way you can start the bottom, then fit the top.  (instead of holding the door and trying to start both at the same time.)

If that made any sense.   ???

Thread over on pirate.  Don't think it's great at describing what to do.

Hack up all four fender hinges per the picture.  Make the bottom pins 1/4 longer than the top. Weld the pin to the hinge.

6 months so far, doors work like a charm.  On/off in under 2 minutes.  No additional help required.

That's pretty much how I did my Samurai's hinges too.

you can also notch the door hinge so instead of having to unbolt the door you can loosen the 12mm bolts and just slide it out... very easy.

or you can do this yourself.  All you have to do is cut the existing pin with a cutoff wheel, then tap it out of the holes  go buy 4 removable pins to fit in the holes, and you're set.  This actually works well, because after a while, the existing pin wears the hole a bit bigger, making the doors loose on the hinges

Metal dowel pin (I believe).  Any hardware store should have them.  Even with the nice clips as pictured.
