My Babyota Fully Exoed
« on: May 04, 2007, 03:06:19 PM »
Sorry for some large pics.  Hope you enjoy.

frame semi stripped

I got my Engle tranny that I've been looking for and started on the build.  I never like how the tranny sat so low so I raised it some. Sorry 'bout some of the pics.  I need a new camera:x
I'm not sure how much I raised it.  I just eyeballed it and try to keep it level.

I kept my rear axle truss.

I need to get some more link material but I did some swapping links that I've already made and got the rear set up done.

I put multiple wholes for anti-squat and pinion adjustment.  I'll have to make longer upper links but these are alright for setup.

A little play flex

I've got a long list of parts to order with some things on the way from Tower now but I want to try and at least stay steady on it this time with no long breaks in between.

I have to remove the center chassis brace cause it's in the way of the drive shaft but it'll remain for set up until I figure out the front suspension.  Not sure if I'm going with links or leafs yet.  I've been looking at ways to do the hinging shackles.  If I figure that out I'll run leafs.

I put some extra bracing in for the stinger.

Now it's time to get on the bed

Topside

And bottom

I decided to change up the front rail cause it was too close to the body for a more flowing and fender protecting design.
OLD

NEW

It just looks so mean from this view:twisted:

I had to break the torch out for the flats cause the iron wasn't putting enough heat into them.

Wow man, that looks like a lot of work. I have not built any armor myself yet.
