Never been one to blow my own bugle, but it's mostly for my family. 4 generations in the ARMY.
Grandpa, William Arthur
Served during Spanish American War. Infantry
Father, William Cornelius
Served during Viet Nam. MP
Me William Eric
Served peace time. Infantry.
Son, William Greggroy
Served during middle East campaigns, three tours.
I was the lucky one, served peacetime. My son came back a bit touched by the whole thing. Dad was in Germany for his tour, and Grandpa (never met him) got shuffled around and somewhere in there He served in the Phillipines where he was shot. Gramps surviving was not communicated to me.
Four generations and we'd do it again.
