Valley Teen Ranch Run
« on: Feb 28, 2007, 09:20:43 AM »

Well I'm going to need some help to pull this off & I need to know who will bring there rigs? Please post up & I will come up with dates.

1, We will do a meet and great with the kids there and bring a ramp, BBQ and video.
2, come up with a time and date for a 1 or 2 day trip.

2 day trip will be nice to hang out and have worship and just some good old Camp music.

When we had our Mens trip there was some that would not come do to the fact they did not know anything about the men, so here is what these kids are housed there for and we do not know if any of these do match the kids we will take with us! VTR will suppervise these kids on the run.

Define population:  After completing the needs assessment, determine which population you primarily want to serve, i.e..
Delinquent and abused children (infant to age 12 boys and/or girls)
Delinquent and abused youth (ages 12-18)
   Pregnant teenage girls
Developmentally delayed children (physically and/or mentally handicapped
non ambulatory
   NO! Juvenile sex offenders
   Emotionally disturbed children and youth
   Children with HIV
   Children with Substance abuse issues,
   Transitional housing
   Drop in center
Short-term over night emergency shelter for runaway children
Any other specified needs for youth in the community.

Monday afternoon Fred, John, Stacy & I had a great meeting with Valley Teen Ranch! And I do need to correct my first post there are    NO! Juvenile sex offenders  housed out there! We did find that these young men do attend a Christian camp each year and are willing to hear the word of God! These are not violent offenders mostly kids that made a bad decision and are picked to go out there rather then juvenile hall our CYA camps. We will have two tentative dates posted this week. One for a fun day there and one for a over night trip to Red Lake. Keep these young men and this easy chance to do Ministry work in you Prayers!

NOTE! These IS A TRIP FOR THE HOLE FAMILY! A great opportunity for your Kids to have a Ministry Run!

That's awsome.  I've a lot of experience with group/foster homes.  You're taking on a huuuuuge liability, but it's all worth it just to see success at least once! I'll be praying for you!!
