Swapping auto lockout hubs for manuals on the 85.

And since it's likely I'll also be putting in IFS hubs and some kind of FJ rotors(have not figured out what years all work yet) - should I put in the IFS lockout hubs as well, instead of getting some lockouts from an 85?
Can I just throw in some IFS lockouts without putting in IFS hubs?

Term:
 Lockouts = the dial you turn to engage
 Hubs = the big thing you bolt the rim to

IFS hub gears are 27 spline. Your solid axle has 30 spline shafts. No go on the IFS lockouts regardless of the hubs you use. It is the axle shaft that makes the lockouts incompatible.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Gotcha.

For some reason, it appears my other truck, an 85 runner - has the IFS lockouts.  I say this because they are flat, don't stick out at all.  Wierd?

Ifs lockouts and solid axle lockouts have identical exterior dimensions. They should look identical.

I also have auto hubs on my 85, I have been looking for some aisin ones. I heard you need some kit also to change out hubs?
