Toy Box Mount
« on: Dec 16, 2006, 12:36:05 AM »

I am putting a Marlin Toy Box behind a TBI, SM 465 in my 78 FJ 40 I am building my own rear crossmember to go under the Toy Box case. Does anyone sell a poly mount to bolt to that case? (toyota pick-up) or will the rubber one support the weight? I had the AA rear mount behind the t-case with a th350 and never really liked that set up.

With that kind of torque and weight I'd look into something more substantial.  I used two round bushings in tubes on an ORD style mount.  Tabs are welded to the cross member.  I'll get more pics up tomorrow.

Check with Megolfer on this board.  He just finished putting one into his FJ40

I just used the the stock toyota case mount on mine.  It seems to works fine and there is not a lot of movement.  You will love that combo.

We use the OEM rubber mounts when we do ToyBox installs. North West Off-Road used to sell a poly mount.
