Topic: LIGHT issue

i have a VERY minor problem but it's buggin' me.  on my 1985 toyota 4runner, my rear window and wiper switch on my center console don't light up. they used to light up but now they don't. i took out my center console during the summer months and unhooked the switches.  when i put them in this winter and turned on the lights in the dark, they DON'T LIGHT UP. has anyone ever experienced this problem? anyone with any ideas on what is wrong?  i checked the bulbs in the switches and they are fine, the switches themselves also work fine.

Double check the power wire that feeds that bulb. Test grounds? Test the bulb?  A lot of times so much stuff spils down there that maybe just the contacts where the bulb screws in is dirty.
