Now why'd you go and ruin a good Toyota with a Jeep grill? :welcome:

Thanks guys!

Kinda thought i'd get flamed bad, but so far, not bad  :beerchug:

I know it's an uncenventional rig. Some people hate what I did to a Toyota, some people hate what I did to a Jeep. I like to think I used the best of what I had. With 4.0ltr it has good power for going over the passes, off road it's very capable. It has done 15 trail runs this year, some very challenging. So far it has been very reliable.

It's almost all parts from my rolled XJ, the front clip, all the underhood and drive train, dash and all electrical, fuel tank, Steering column, gear box, linkage, etc..

I started with a stripped 87 Toyota. It had nothing but the front IFS suspension, frame and a gutted cab and a rusted out bed.

I have hundreds of hours of labor into it, maybe a $1,000 into new parts and steel.

Well that was until I built the Dana 44's that replaced the D35 & D30, another $2,000 into those.

Specs;
1987
Jeep 4.0 ltr engine
AW4 transmision
NP231 Transfer
4-link long arm front suspension
Xj leaf spring rear suspension
Dana 44's with Detroits & 4.88's Front and Rear
35" mud terrains

Thanks again
Terry
