New guy from NE Nevada
« on: Mar 11, 2007, 10:04:25 AM »
Hi all. I'm a new member (allmost...I've been researching for a while now...) I am in Elko, NV, which is halfway between Salt Lake City and Reno. I have built a couple of small Jeep projects and now I am embarking on my most ambitious project. I recently bought 2-1/2 1st gen Toyota longbeds for $500 from a guy in our local 4x4 club (www.banginbones.com) I plan on going 37" MTRs on 17x9 rims, 5" of lift, 5.29s, dual cases (I could go 3...I have 3... :turtle3:), upgraded birfs or a birf eliminator kit, tube bed, list goes on.... I'll post a beginning pic here, but I will start a buildup thread in the projects area if ya all would like to see.

...Well, after 2 hours of searching threads and attempting to post pics I was unsuccessful. I'm not an idiot, but this posting pic thing is pretty ambiguous. I understand the whole resize thing, but getting it into the thread is not easy, where can I host my pic without alot of difficulty? Can I do it in yahoo photos? I spend alot of time in front of a damn computer at work and I really don't want to spend an entire WEEKEND day just to post a pic... So, since thats over...can anyone help me out here?
Thanks!!

create a photobucket account......after u upload the pic onto photobucket there are 3 codes under each one. there is one called [img] code. right click on this code and copy and paste directly into your post. u can hit the preview button to make sure it will show up before u  post  :beerchug:

photbucket, imageshack or the like is the way to go, easier to post pics and add text in between pics and you're not limited to kb size

Its good to know that there are other locals on this board! Are you in the area? Who's your buddies? I might know them. If not, I could always use some help / advice on my project.  :beerchug:

No, I am in CA.  Some guys that work for Newmont.  Joe Gill..has some older Bronco POS, John Gannon..85 toy/5.29/35/7"lift...It probably never sees the light of day, but I know Joey wheels that bronco.

I do know Joe Gill. He is a member of our local club (www.banginbones.com). The other guy, I do not know. Anyway, good to meet you.
The wheeling is alot of fun out here, plus your pretty central to stuff like Rubicon and Moab. Check out 4-Wheel and Off-Road's 2006 Ultimate Adventure DVD...Tons of coverage on wheeling in the area. :driving:

Throw up some wheeling pics somewhere if you can. I'd like to see what's up that-a way.

I'll try to put some pics of Elko wheeling up tonight when I get home from work. I was club photographer for a while, so I have lots!
