thats to bad no one answered yet, I have a 89 4runner and I was wondering how new of seats I could put in, but you could put any seat in that fits.  If it doesn't bolt up you could use steel strips drill to holes bolt to chassis and drop seat on new holes.  Just an Idea I had my not pass crash testing!!

:wink2: I can answer some of this   I installed a set of early 90's 2 WD extended cab bucket seats into my 86 STD. cab truck and they bolted up with no problems other than changing the seat belts along with the seats - I had a bench seat prier :disturbed:

Speaking of seats, can supra seats fit the 4runner? I have 95 bucket seats now.

My 82 shortbed has seats that I took out of a 93 Toyota Paseo in a junkyard. I did have to drill new holes in the truck but the bracketry and angles were all good. Its stronger than stock now, and the seats themselves are really supportive and sporty-firm. 75 bucks for the pair.

Celica seats from the early 90's can be real nice, the GT seats especially.  I put a pair of charcoal grey GT's in my '84 SR5 Xtra cab 4x4, 3 out of 4 mounting positions aligned and I think the fourth will fit with a little tweaking and shiming.  I took the seats completely apart so I could swap the passenger foam sections to the drivers seat. The passenger side is always in a lot better condition than the driver's side. My "new" seats look super sharp, match my interior and feel like $600 aftermarket seats. I paid $100 for the pair!
